Stylized Water Tower

Since I had mostly worked on games that had a somewhat realistic art style in the past (Gears being a more exaggerated and chunky version of reality), I wanted to expand my skills as an Environment Artist and explore creating a stylized hero asset placed in a small scene and environment fitting of the same style. The inspiration and expectation was for it to fit the acclaimed stylized look of modern day Fortnite.
While the focus was on the water tower as a hero asset, I decided to create a few more supporting pieces giving me the ability to ground the main piece in a world that would fit it's style.

Assets were modeled in Blender & ZBrush, textured in Substance Designer, Painter & Photoshop and everything was realized in Unreal Engine 5.

The scene was set up to capture shots from a close angle while hinting at the type of environment this asset would live in by showing strategically sculpted terrain and re-use of the rock assets.
